Decorating
for Christmas used to mean getting a tree and hanging up
a bit of tinsel and some glass ball ornaments.
If families decorated their houses outside, their choices
were usually limited to strings of white lights or multi-colored
bulbs.
These days many folks opt for a full-blown light show complete
with an inflatable Santa and his reindeer and plenty of
icicle lights. Decking the halls has never been so spectacular
- or complicated. Risking life and limb climbing onto roofs
and into trees in order to spruce up and celebrate in style
can easily add even more stress to an already stressful
holiday season. And then there's the annual untangling of
endless feet of wires and search for replacement bulbs. |
Why
not let someone else do the work? Enter Chris Hubbard and
20/20 Services. Hubbard may just end up being Santa's biggest
helper for weary homeowners ready to rest instead of adding
one more chore to their holiday “to do” lists. In one afternoon,
Hubbard and his team can have a house sparkling with holiday
cheer.
“We have a huge inventory of decorations. We can do it all.
Customers can choose a theme, exactly what kind of lights
and inflatable decorations they want. We will put all the
decorations up, take them down and store them for next year
as well if that is what the customer needs,” said Hubbard.
The starting base rate is $200, which goes up according
to a house's square footage and how elaborate the decorations
are. A bit tight on cash after buying presents, but still
want to the house to look Christmas-y? Hubbard can rent
decorations as well. |

Hubbard
encourages anyone interested in the service to reserve a
date now. “We start before Thanksgiving. People really need
to think ahead. I say plan now and plug them in later.”
Hubbard started the service last year as an addition to
his window cleaning business. Several businesses on Seacoast
Drive took advantage of it. Hubbard guarantees satisfaction,
saying, “We will make people happy.”
Hubbard is currently running a pre-holiday special that
is a buy one, get one free promotion. “It's the perfect
Christmas gift. You take care of yourself and bless a friend
as well,” he said.
